If you’re an SME, then this will be one of the most important factors for you when choosing an IT company – this is understandable, but price shouldn’t always be the deciding factor. It’s easy to want to jump on the cheapest offer you find but it’s not necessarily the best idea, especially if you rely on IT for your day-to-day business activity. It may be cheaper to have IT Services help from overseas, but will they be on the phone to help you when you most need it, is that company based in your timezone?
Are They Knowledgeable and Committed?
One of the most important things to look for in a IT Service company is their expertise level. Do they know what they’re talking about? Are they likely to do what it takes to fix your problems and more importantly to prevent your problem? Can they back up their sales claims with proven results?

How Flexible are They?
You should look for a IT Services company that has the ability to adapt to your business needs. Do you just need Office 365 installed and managed, great – there’s no need to be upsold other products and you want someone who can do this quickly. But if one day you may need a full service offering then make sure the IT Services company you pick has the ability to do both!

With GDPR having changed many aspects of the industry in 2018, you may already have a data scheme in place that defines the types of data you deal with according to sensitivity and data storage. So, having said that, the location your data resides in and the knowledge of the company who may deal with your data should be key part of the selection process.
Do you have specific requirements and obligations for your data? Then make sure your IT Services provider can work with you on these and give you peace of mind.
